Teachers and Parents using blogs in classrooms

Miss Dudiak second grade class in Frederick Country, Md. uses a blog to describe many of there activities throught out the
week. A lot of there words are misspelled but it allows the students to understand a computer. Miss Dudiak said that some
of the quiet students come alive online. It gives the students another form of expression and for the teacher there is very little
effort to maintain the blog. The blog helps to continue a discussion even after school is over. To read more about how Miss
Dudiak uses her blog go to Click here.
In St. Petersburg, Joyce Schubert can log on to her daughter fifth grade class blog and find out what she is doing and thinking.
Mrs. Schubert loves knowing about her daughters time in class. The daily writings in her daughters blog helps Mrs. Schubert
understand what she is thinking. These blogs can serve as outlets for children to express themselves. The way technology is
advancing teachers and students must explore and use the different tools on computers. To read more about the way parents
are using blogs go to Click here.
